The Body Shop Rainforest Oil Balance Shampoo [Review]

I bought the little size of the Body Shop shampoo from the new Rain Forest line.

It is for oily hair, parabene and silicone free.

Cost: 3€ for 50ml / 2.0 US fl.oz

.....................................................
Ingredients:
Aqua, Sucrose, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Lauryl Betaine, Laureth-5 Carboxylic Acid, Propylene Glycol, PEG-55 Propylene Glycol Oleate, Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Parfum, Sucrose Laurate, Sodium Benzoate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Fucus Vesiculosus Extract, Alcohol, Citric Acid, Pentaclethra Macroloba Seed Oil, Lamium Album Extract, Sodium Hydroxide, Tocopherol.

I googled and translated some ingredients in German  ;o)
Fucus Vesiculosus: Alge (Blasentang)
Pentaclethra Macroloba Seed Oil: Öl der Samen des Pracaxi-Baumes
Lamium Album: Weiße Taubnessel
 .....................................................

The shampoo smells clean and produces enough foam.

But... it doesn´t work very good for me. My hair still gets oily very fast and I don´t have the "clean feeling" someone should have after washing their hair. It is also a little itchy.

I´m glad that there is a trial size. I won´t buy the big bottle. Too bad :o(

A little Luxury... (food)

Sometimes I like to spend my money on food that´s a little special and more expensive.

On a trade fair I found the cocoa drink with caramel taste, it´s with 60% cocoa and not as sweet as the usual cocoa powders. I like it most with soy milk because that adds a nutty flavor to the chocolate and caramel...yummy  :o)
On a market I bought the "Honey Moon" honey. It is with rose oil. I love rose taste and scent!
They had many products with rose flowers and rose oil, like jelly, mustard, tea, salt, sugar... .
I only bought the honey and I like it very much.

Heymountain Haul

This is developing to a new adicction ;)
I ordered some of the Christmas bathing items and a Christmas Soap and also a face mask.

Evergreen Soap ° Weihnachtsbaderei ° Sprudelatius ° Cherries, Strawberries and an Angel´s Kiss ° I saw Santa rockin´... ° Angelface Face Mask

The Heymountain products have a very strong scent, but without the typical "LUSH"-undertone. So if you like the idea of LUSH, and you don´t like the smell - try Heymountain!

I´ll write a review when I have tried one of the products.
Kasi likes them :o)

LUSH * Lady Catrina Soap (Helloween Special Product)

It was a spontaneous buy in the LUSH shop where we went last Saturday to celebrate the 2-year-anniversary of the local shop. I´m glad I bought it :), although I already own so many pieces of soap...

Lady Catrina Soap has the shape of a hat. Lady Catrina is a Mexican skeleton figure with a big, colorful hat. She is a symbol of the Day of the Dead. ( That´s what LUSH says. I don´t know much about Mexico)

I love its purple color and I fell in love with its smell, that´s why I bought it. The soap smells very fresh, fruity (candy-like) and lemony-limey.

It is vegan because LUSH did not use honey. Instead they used agave nectar which is supposed to moisturize the skin.

I use soap to wash my hands with and do not shower with it, but I think this soap is not too strong for dry skin like some other LUSH soaps, but as always it comes with a load of natural perfume oils and colorants.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Brassica Campestris Seed Oil; Cocos Nucifera Oil , Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Parfüm, Bio Agavennektar, Citrus Aurantifolia Oil , Boswellia Carterii Oil , Citrus Aurantium amara Flower Oil ,Sodium Chloride, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Hydroxide, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Citral, *Limonene, *Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Cl 17200, Cl 42090, Cl 45410, Cl 45350.

I Swapped :o)

I swapped with Chris from Lacquer Ware for Tips and Toes.
My package arrived pretty fast.

She sent me a wonderful choice (well, I chose most ;) ) of 7 polishes. 5 that I could choose and 2 great blue "surprises". One of them is my long-time wish "For Audrey"

Also included was some Candy Corn. I´ve lived in the US, but I have never tried them before!

So thank you very much for your great package, Chris. I love it!

Heymountain Give my Love to Rose & Spa-Massnahme [Review]

Do you like Rose scents? I do, but most rose scents are artificial.

I bought an essential rose oil in Egypt which I sometimes use as perfume. Also a perfume I like very much is Serge Lutens´ "Sa Majeste la Rose" which is quite an atypical rose smell, very fresh and sweet.

And some time ago I discovered this shower gel from Heymountain Cosmetics:

It´s called "Give my Love to Rose"

I just love its scent! Fresh and green, like a freshly cut red rose with a glance of the smell of its leaves.
It is a very natural scent.

The shower gel is not irritating to sensitive skin.

What I also like is that they offer trial sizes. For shower gel it is 75ml (about 5€). Spending 10€ for a shower gel you have never smelled in "real life" is something I think twice about. Still, 5€  is a lot of money for such a product, but the ingredients and philosophy of Heymountain compensate for that.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Coco Glucoside, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Lauryl Glucoside, Lactic Acid, Glyceryl Laurate, Jojobaöl (Simmondsia chinensis oil), Olivenöl (Olivae oleum), Lecithin, Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis extract), Palmarosaöl (Cymbopogon martinii oil), Parfüm, Geraniumöl (Pelargonium graveolens oil), Rosen Absolue (Rosa damascena extract), Olibanumöl (Boswellia serrata oil), Vetiveröl (Vetiveria zizanoides oil), Kamillenöl blau (Chamomilla recutita oil), Benzyl alcohol, Benzylbenzoate, *Citral, Citronellol, *Eugenol, Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Potassium Sorbate, Cl 14720, Cl 15985.

Bath Tab "SPA-Massnahme"
Another product from Heymountain which I enjoyed is this bathing tab.
It smells like a summer meadow and it is good for your skin, too.

Ingredients:
Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Rüböl (Brassica napus oil), Calendulaöl (Glycine soybean oil, Calendula officinalis extract), Olivenöl (Olivae oleum), Ringelblumenblüten (Calendula officinalis flower), Kamillenblüten (Matricaria recutita flower), Heublumen (Flores graminis flower), Pfefferminzöl (Mentha arvensis oil), Wacholderholzöl (Juniperus communis oil), Rosmarinöl (Rosmarinus officinalis oil), Salbeiöl (Salvia hispanica oil), Heublumen Absolue (Flores graminis extract), Thymianöl (Thymus vulgaris herb oil), Parfüm, *Citral, *Coumarin, *Eugenol, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Cl 13015, Cl 42051. *Kommt natürlich in ätherischen Ölen vor.

Both products are vegan.

If you know LUSH, you probably know their bath ballistics. They are fizzing, too, but their ballistics don´t include extra skin care. Their bubble bars are. With Heymountain it´s vice versa.

Heymountain was founded by two ex-Lush-Germany-managers and it donates all extra profits to a charitable daughter company.

They offer 100% fresh and handmade cosmetics, 100% cosmetics made in Germany, 100% cosmetics without animal testing, 100% vegetarian cosmetics, 98% vegan cosmetics.

Happy World Vegetarian Day :o)

Viva la Nails

Here are some detail pictures of the items from Viva la Nails, and two of the boxes I´ve made. I´ve been sick this week and did not go to work and  today is the first day that I have internet access at home again.
The rest of the pictures is on my computer at work.

The purple glitter you see fell through a little hole in the bag. That´s one thing I have to criticise, and another thing is that the packages don´t have a name and they don´t tell me what is in them. I tried to use the water decals like stickers but could not peel them off the foil since they are water decals, but the package doesn´t say this. But I´m happy with the things I got from Viva la Nails and the stickers are good quality and good to peel off although they are so little.
