The polish from Essence "What do u think?" is a salmon orange.
It is not too flashy but yet colorful.
Applying was easy, and because I didn´t want to wait until the second layer is dry, one coat was enough for me. Next time I think I will use 2 coats though, because with one coat the color is still a little transparent.
The polish stayed on my nails for 5 days without any chipping which is really great! (I don´t use top or base coats because I have to remove my polish on the weekends for work anyway.)
On Facebook/TeeGschwendner I guessed right - the little Mainzelmann was waiting for the new Winter Apple Tea, and therefore I won a package of it along with 3 samples. I haven´t tried it yet but it smells very yummy.
This fresh green soap is a Christmas Special this year. They also have several other products in this range.
I love pine and forest scents! I also have Yankee Candles with the scent of pines.
100g of the soap cost 5,24€. It´s not a cheap pleasure, but definetely worth it: Good ingredients, no animal testing and charity donations.
Why "Creamy" Soap?
Heymountain says: "They contain little soap and loads of moisturising, skin-friendly butters and oils and they are full of wonderful essential oils and scents to activate all your senses. Due to their richness, they are excellent for cleaning dry skin or problem skin."
The soap is quite soft, especially after receiving the fresh package. It is wrapped in plastic foil, so it keeps its moisture and softness. If you don´t like that, you can keep it without its wapping.
The outer layers dissolve quickly with water, so it´s a nice feeling to wash with this soap. It foams a little. I usually use shower gel with a puff, but sometimes I like to "pamper" myself a little more and use products like this.
After using it I don´t have to use a body lotion at all. I have normal skin, though.
It´s a great product, and I will definitely buy more Heymountain Cream Soaps! :o)
I was lucky to win a wonderful prize on the blog "Beauty with little Sheep".
The prize included an Essence stamping set, an Essence nail polish and eyeshadow, Lush Karma and Fresh Farmacy, samples, Swiss chocolate. All the things I really wanted to have, especially the stamping set and Fresh Farmacy!
I started practising stamping the same evening ;o)
I am sick today, it´a cold with headache and muscle pain, so I chose this post for today ;)
Heilerde/Healing Earth is a favorite product of mine.
Healing Earth is loess/loam. It´s made of naturally powdered special rocks and it is very fertile if used for plants.
It consists of: ( thanks, leo.dict.org and the Luvos homepage ;) )
Silikat (silicate) 42 %
Kalkspat (calcite) 19 %
Dreischichttonminerale (clay minerals) 16 %
Feldspat (feldspar) 16 %
Dolomit (dolomite) 4 %
...and it contains many minerals and microelements like calcium, aluminum, iron, copper, zinc, and others.
There are 2 ways of using it: internally and externally.
I bought it for internal use, since I had some problems with ma stomach. It was probably because of coffee. I don´t drink coffee anymore, and now I´m fine.
It has no specific taste, it just feels a little sandy between your teeth ;)
I like to make face masks with it: Just mix a little of the powder with a very little bit of water. Don´t use too much water, it will be too liquid! Healing Earth is good for oily skin. It takes the sebum away and clears the skin.
I just read that you can also use it -dry- for sunburn, wounds and itchy skin.
Also rheuma and muscle pain can be treated with a compress with Healing Earth and water due to better blood circulation.
I personally like to pour a small amount of the powder in my bathing water, in addition to the usual bathing products. I don´t know if it helps, but it certainly doesn´t do harm.
Something very sad and terrible happened this night: In our local zoo there was a huge fire. All the "pet" animals, like ponies, goats, and donkeys died. There are 26 dead animals. Their neighbors, hippos and elephants, could be saved.
I often walked over a bridge which is close to their enclosure and watched them. Hoofed animals are my favorites, especially goats. Now all of them are dead. This is so sad ;-((((
At the moment we have mostly what you can call a "Golden" October - cold, but sunny.
I have the right perfume for this weather: the Vanillary solid perfume from Lush.
Lush says: The sweet and sensual real vanilla and jasmine absolutes are supported by the burnt caramel-like scent of tonka bean in this delicious perfume. Vanillary is a grown-up gourmand. Its character really warms and develops on the skin and you'll get many compliments wearing it.
I haven´t gotten any compliments yet :o(
But I can verify that it is a very warm and delicious scent. It is a gourmand note, but it is not too heavy, too sweet, or a "headache smell".
I never noticed any jasmine in it. Actually it doesn´t smell like "the" typical vanilla either, like you would expect a scent with the name "Vanillary" to smell. (But this is Lush, so nobody should be surprised ;) )
Caramel and toffee adds a "darker" note to the sweet vanilla. It makes me feel warm and comfortable.
The best way to use such a solid perfume is not to rub it over your finger or wrist (as I tried it first). Instead I use my finger nail to scratch a little bit of the mass off the rest, and apply this on my wrists.
The scent stays long on my skin and I love to put my nose close to it and I also love the way it stays in my sleeves.
Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis),
Castor Oil (Ricinus communis),
Candelilla Wax (Euphorbia cerifera),
Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia),
Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum grandiflorum,
Tonka Absolute (Dipteryx odorata),
Vanilla Pod Powder (Vanilla planifolia),
(I copied the ingredients from the Lush website. They are the ingredietns of the new product which is a stick. I still have the old one in the metal tin)
I had two guinea pigs on vacation last week. They are very cute ( like all guinea pigs are :o) )
They have a big cage which was standing in the middle of our sleeping room.
If we had a bigger apartment I would take care of more guinea pigs from an animal help organisation, but at the moment I take animals of people who go on vacation and want their little ones to stay with someone who has some knowledge about them.
